Description
The aim of this course is to provide support to groups of students already enrolled in a national VET qualification. Modules will be chosen to provide appropriate skills to advance progression on the vocational qualification.
The only assessments conducted for this course are those associated with the national VET qualification with which this course is delivered.
The major client group are candidates enrolled in a vocational qualification who are identified as having additional educational support needs. Candidates with more than one of these indicators are likely to be those with high educational support needs:
- Second language or second dialect speaker
- Identification as Indigenous
- Refugee or recent migrant from a non-English speaking background
- Low educational achievement
- No recent history of engagement in education or participation in the labour market
- TAFE Entry Requirement Benchmark Level 1 or below
- Acquired brain injury
- Intellectual disability
Schedule
1.
This course is designed to be delivered in an integrated manner, in a dual enrolment with a ‘parent’ vocational training course or Training Package qualification. All modules are elective. Any combination of modules may be selected. Course length may vary from 1 to 10 modules. The total number of hours is 250.
