State Implementation and Classification
Description
This qualification provides a pathway into employment in a seaport or associated port operations. It is endorsed by industry and has been designed to provide relevant competencies needed for people to work in various aspects of ship/shore interface.
Schedule
1.
To achieve Vocational Graduate Certificate In Maritime Operations - 51851, a total of 8 units of competency must be completed. This comprises:
- Five core units
- 3 elective units
Candidates may select 3 elective units from the Pilotage Operations group, the Port Operations group, or the Alternative Maritime Units group. A maximum of 2 units may be imported from Training Packages or Accredited courses at Advanced Diploma to Vocational Graduate Diploma level that are relevant to the industry.
