State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide the knowledge and skills required for a learner to gain employment
in an industry where electronic skills are used.
To provide knowledge and skills that articulate with recognised apprenticeship
and production process courses in the electronics area.
To provide a range of transferable skills that will allow a learner to access
employment or further vocational education and training opportunities in areas
other than electronics industry.
To provide and co-ordinate “work experience” only within the guidelines
endorsed by the Electrical Licensing Board - Office of Energy, Western
Australia.

The modules NE160 Electrical Principles 1 and NE161 Electrical Principles 2
have been replaced at the request of the NUEITAB and the WAUEEIIITC with
NUE52 Applied Electricity 1, NUE54 Applied Electricity 2, NUE55 Applied
Electricity 3, and NUE56 Applied Electricity 4
The request has resulted in the core module structure being modified by Midland
College of TAFE on the 11/02/99.
87713 and 87714 should be selected for all new applicants.
87706 and 87707 will remain for awarding of the qualification.
This change is necessary to accommodate the accreditation of NUE52 to NUE56.
