1 Select 21.5 modules from the NMEC module bank to meet the requirements of
the Western
Australian Metals Trades (General) Award Classification C10.
2 The selection of CSU's for the Western Australian Metals Trades
(General) Award should
reflect between 96 and 102 points.
3 Pre-approved training, (forwarded via the Metals Manufacturing and
Services ITC to the ELB)
for an 'A' Grade Electrical Licence requires the selection of modules
approved by the Office of
Energy, which meet the core competencies or the 70 required learning
outcomes. (Ref: Office of
Energy - Energy Bulletin No. 5, September, 1996).
The Office of Energy through the Electrical Licensing Board (ELB) have agreed
that persons who
successfully complete an Engineering Tradesperson (Electrical) apprenticeship,
which includes the
following core modules (part of a 24 module structure), will be eligible for an
electrical worker's
licence endorsed "A" grade electrical fitter. Four approved programs are listed
on this document.
