State Implementation and Classification
Description
This course is designed for artists and crafts persons who
wish to develop their career within the arts industry and is
particularly appropriate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
students.
This course aims to develop and extend:
- skills in a number of art and craft areas and methods with
due regard for work health and safety
- knowledge of business structures and practice to support
the making of art and craft
- knowledge of the art market and gallery system and skills
to participate in that market as an individual and/or through
a community art centre
- the skills to initiate and develop a career path in the art
and craft industry
