Description
The Certificate IV in Small Business Management is a comprehensive Training
Program designed to assist people establish self employment ventures through the provision of a small enterprise training package. It will also provide
essential skills training for existing owner/managers of Small Business.
The Certificate IV in Small Business Management aims to produce graduates with general skills applicable to all small businesses. It is targeted towards
those owner/managers and intenders who need to gain essential management skills
and/or additional knowledge and skills in areas of business planning, marketing, financial planning and legal requirements necessary to establish or manage their businesses.

VET Info Notes
This revised course structure was placed on the CMS by Great Southern Regional
College of TAFE on 15/02/99. This revised structure replaces the previous
(old) course outline 5101 Certificate in Small Business Management (SA, Open
Learning), which was also identified on the NTIS by code 4227.
This course material has been accredited in South Australia from 10/01/96 and
was extended to 31/12/1998 and now extended until 17/08/2004. The course is
owned by the South Australian Department of Education Employment and Training
-DETE (SA) telephone (08) 8226 3431. The course is placed on the NTIS as
national code 4227.
Providers wishing to use these materials must first obtain written
authorisation and approval from the owners and be registered by their State
Training/Accrediting Authority.
