Description

Graduates will have reached a level of competence to the standard expected of
beginning practitioners and required for employment as Optical Dispensers.
Graduates will be eligible to apply for a licence to practice.

To achieve this outcome the course allows the learner to:

1.
Reach occupational competency through college based learning which
complements concurrent employment. In WA, it is anticipated that a log book
will be required to obtain a licence to practice.

2.
Develop knowledge, skills and attitudes in three major areas of
learning Fundamental and Professional Studies, Lens Principles and Ophthalmic
Technology.

3.
Access an Optical Mechanics qualification.
