Description

To provide the learner without any formal qualifications in the trade of painting and decorating but with the ability to demonstrate essential surface preparation and coating systems skills and knowledge of colour theory and wallpapering techniques.
To permit both qualified tradespersons and learners without any formal qualification to establish the estimated costs associated with the acquisition of materials and labour on building and construction sites together with the application of relevant overhead costs and margins. Knowledge of physical resource and supplier identification, assessment of the availability of and requirements for skilled labour and application of appropriate codes, regulations and approvals gaining processes is essential.

This course is made up of:
a) Units of competence from the BSB07 and CPC08 Training Packages
b) Module 82985 “PRB colour and wallpapering”

All units and module must be completed.
