Description
To introduce learners to practical workshop skills.
To develop expertise in manipulating a wide range of materials.

Range of Variables
Module No’s 14986 Tools and Equipment 2, 14985 Material & Records 2, and 14987
Theme and Concept Development 2 represent the 153 hours of ‘Studio Materials
and Skills’ as detailed in the research findings. These units are an
inseparable block rather than three discrete units. In practice this block
will require team teaching or teamwork to ascertain what sections of each of
the units the lecturers involved will address. It would not be desirable that
any single lecturer be responsible for teaching all 153 hours of this block,
nor would it be desirable that the units be taught separately.

- idea development
- practical skills
- concept interpretation
- demonstrated ability to appreciate the holistic approach of this
course by integrating skills and theories learned in concurrent modules.
