Description
To provide the trainee with the knowledge required to interpret and solve basic numerical problems related to forest industries using manual or electronic processes.
Range of Variables
This module provides for delivery in a variety of modes, including self-paced and on-the-job delivery. Strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes and the needs of the trainee. Some areas of content may be common to more than one learning outcome and therefore integration may be appropriate.

The conditions related to assessment of the learning outcomes are dependent upon the mode of training delivery, that is, on-the-job, off-the-job or a combination of both.
A range of assessment strategies or options are available to suit the needs of the participant and the industry. The needs of the participant will be met by provision of:
- a learning environment appropriate to the
assessment task
- learner handouts/reference material
- appropriate equipment and material
- computer hardware and software for
participation through electronic data
communications, if appropriate.
