Internal Assessment 100%

Students must demonstrate mastery of each of the
seven topics:

- A test is to be given at the end of each topic.

- Each topic is to be assessed by test items which
correspond precisely to the performance objectives in that topic.

- The answers are to be marked right or wrong (no
part-marks), and the student must answer at least 70% of them correctly to be
granted mastery of that topic.

- Provision will be made for the student to be re-tested on
topics for which mastery was not demonstrated.

- A cumulative test covering all topics, is to be taken at
the end of the course. Students must reach a score of at least 60% on this test.

- One cumulative re-test will be allowed for students who do
not reach a score of at least 60%.

- Subject to the conditions in (iii) and (v) above, the
final student percentage is calculated by adding the seven topic test scores
(out of 66) and the cumulative test score (out of 34).

- Students who have not mastered all seven topics and
satisfactorily completed the cumulative test within one semester, may have
their result placed on hold. These students will have the next semester within
which to demonstrate mastery of all topics, and complete the cumulative test,
or they will be graded as a fail.
