Description
To enable learners to apply the fundamental principles and concepts associated
with planning, estimating and costing to the preparation and interpretation of
tender documents, cost estimates and the reporting of actual versus estimated
project costs.

Range of Variables
This module contains learning outcomes that require theory instruction under
standard drawing room conditions and practical instruction. The theory
component will be assessed at the end of the instructional period when learners
are required to sit for a closed book theory test.
The practical component will be assessed by appropriate practical exercises.
It is necessary to pass individually the practical component and the theory
component to pass the module.
Suggested time allocation for each learning outcome including testing:
