Description
For the student to be able to express the principles of
Fluid Mechanics and to apply them to the selection,
testing and assessment of performance of fluid machinery
and design fluid systems.

Satisfactory laboratory and assignment work must be
produced.
A minimum of 6 laboratory reports from those nominated in the student
objectives to be carried out and written up in line with the standard formal
report writing procedures of the study area.
The assignment should cover one or more pumped, piped
systems and be as close as practical to typical
industrial situations. As a major assignment the
students should be allowed a period of 3 months for
completion and would normally involve 50-60 hours of
their time.
Laboratory marks only may be carried forward one year.
