Range of Variables
The focus of this module for the purposes of the Certificate III of Children’s
Services (Teacher Assistant) Course No. 6978 is upon the workplace competencies.
To gain a Statement of Attainment for this module a minimum of three of the
(Mayer) competencies must be achieved. For the purposes of this course the
technology, communication and working in teams elements should be the major
focus of competency attainment.
Assessment tasks can be carried on or off-the-job, within the range and
conditions of the workplace and under the supervision of a trained teacher.
Individual and/or group literacy and numeracy skills needs should be identified
in this module and addressed through appropriate adult language and literacy
strategies of delivery.
