Description
To introduce an Engineering Associate
to the analysis of stresses and strains
in materials commonly used in civil
engineering structures and to apply the
theory to make efficient use of
materials in construction.

Examination 70% Internal Assessment 30%

One three hour examination

A minimum of six (6) laboratory tests
to be completed and written up in line
with the standard report writing
procedures of the study area.
Laboratory work to be structured around
the major topics as outlined in the
student objectives. 50% per test.

A pass is required in both examination
and laboratory work.

Laboratory assessment may be carried
forward one year.
