Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to identify and check the provisions of the building codes and standards applicable to pre‐construction phases of commercial buildings, residential buildings and associated simple non‐habitable buildings.

This is a knowledge-based unit of competency which is applied by new entrants to non-trade roles in the building and construction industry who work under supervision in a building and construction company, or for a builder, engineer, surveyor, estimator or draftsperson.
