Description
To develop familiarity with the Local Government Act 1995 and the ability to systematically research the Act under time pressure and to discover provisions relevant to the problem under consideration. To develop a knowledge of legal principles and concepts gained from legal precedent and statutes studied in this course.
To develop an understanding of the law, sufficient to define, list, explain, describe, discuss, compare, contrast, distinguish and illustrate related principles and concepts.
To develop an understanding of pecuniary interest and its relevance to local authorities.
To develop familiarity with the administration of Local Government Elections.
