At the conclusion of training in this subject the
student should have:

- gained an appreciation of the elements of Metallurgy

- obtained experience in the techniques of working with
various melting and heat equipment used in the production of metal castings

- developed an appreciation of the benefits and techniques
of inspection, analysis and repair of castings.
