Description
To provide the learner with the knowledge to develop a written business plan
which will enable the business to reach its maximum potential in a competitive
environment. The learner will then be able to assist and advise a small
business in the preparation of a written business plan.
Accountants today are increasingly being expected to assist in the formulation
of a business plan as it is used by owners, lenders and other interested users
to evaluate a business's economic viability, investment opportunity and/or
projected growth path.
Within the business plan, marketing is the foundation for the other planning
activities and so it is necessary for accountants to understand these concepts
and relate them to the operational and financial aspects of the business.
