One two-hour examination, to consist of objective and short-answer essay
questions.
Total marks for examination to be expressed as a
percentage.
Practical
Progressive assessment of practical, to incorporate
aspects of the apprentice's:
- Practical hand skills
- Application to task (as reflected in the number of
practical projects satisfactorily completed)
- Correct use of equipment and safe working practices.
Total marks for assessment of practical, to be
expressed as a percentage.
A failure in the final stage of the course can only
be redeemed by a SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATION
to be held in January/February of the following
year. This examination may be granted on the recommendation of a Board
of Review, when the practice assessment is satisfactory.
