through an open learning mode or in a group
learning context.
2 The deliverer must be familiar with the
module requirements of Safety for Group Care
1 (SFP) and ensure that the delivery of this
module fully prepares students for the
practical skills of that module.
3 This module has been designed to provide
learners with the foundation knowledge for
safety in a range of group child care
settings. The general principles will be
relevant to both centre based and home based
care. The development of safety practices
is also an integral part of the caregiving
principles and practices modules.
