Description
To provide students with basic practical skills
related to the various forms of manual cartographic
drafting and understanding of the required tools and
materials.

Students who successfully complete the course will have demonstrated that they
can:

- Choose the correct tools and materials.
- Prepare and maintain the tools.
- Prepare materials as necessary.
- Manually draft maps and plans.

All of the above as applied to positive drafting
only.

The students shall complete tasks 1-9 inclusive from
the laboratory manual, to the satisfaction of the
examiner.

To pass this subject the students shall achieve a satisfactory grade in each of
the nine prescribed tasks.
