To provide students, studying the Certificate of
Preparatory Studies, the opportunity to develop an
awareness of the extent of poverty and deprivation
that exists among Aboriginal people.

To gain an understanding of the circumstances that
contribute to the poor health of the Aboriginals.

To gain an understanding of the housing conditions
of Aboriginal people.

To develop an awareness of the diversity of the
types of housing being built in Aboriginal
Communities.

To gain knowledge of the employment prospects available for Aboriginal people.

To develop an awareness of the types of training
programs being undertaken in Aboriginal Communities.

To gain an understanding of the significance of land
to Aboriginal people.

To identify the major events that have made up the
Land Rights struggle.
