- a comprehensive knowledge of the gas industry.
- an understanding of the scientific principles of gas
combustion and related safety factors.

- Laboratory techniques of an acceptable standard are to be
attained before a student can gain a pass in this subject.
NOTE: 1: Tests as outlined in the standards for
each module - both practical and
theoretical.
NOTE 2: The content of this specialised course is designed to include
material of a potentially dangerous nature. Therefore, the SECWA requires
graduates to attain a minimum B pass mark.
NOTE 3: Successful completion of this subject
qualifies the student to apply for the
State Energy Commission of WA Certificate
of Competency - Gas Installing -
Categories A and B.
