Description
To give the students an understanding of the
requirements of chassis wheelbase alterations,
suspensions, chassis repairs and alignment, fitting
of turntables and hoists, construction of
refrigerated transporters, including insulation
applications, also the use of weight distribution
for rigid and articulated vehicles.
To allow the student to design, and draw, a vehicle
body of their own choice, to conform to accepted
standards.

Certificate of Trade Studies Subject Awarded
Marks
The final theory certificate % mark shall be calculated, using the following
formulae:
Examination x 0.9 + Notebook x 0.1 = 100%
To be eligible for the Certificate of Trade Studies,
an apprentice must reach a pass standard in each
stage.
A Privileged Re-examination may be granted, on the recommendation of the Board
of Review, when the practical assessment is satisfactory.
