To provide a general overview of acceptable workplace practices within a
professional framework.

1 The intent of this module is to give a broad overview of workplace
ethics, and an awareness of current policies and legislation shaping workplace
practice.
2 This module could be delivered either through an open learning mode or
in a group context.
3 This module is intended to prepare participants for "hands-on"
training in the human services area. It needs to be delivered in a practical
way.
4 The delivery of this module must be presented so that development of
an "ethical" attitude by participants is adopted. Participants need to learn
to respect the life choices of all members of the community, and respect the
fact that culture, background and life situation effects choices.
