Description
To equip the student with a detailed knowledge of
the identification, importance, distribution and
control of the plants declared in Western Australia
under the Agriculture and Related Resources
Protection Act.

To provide a detailed knowledge and understanding of
the uses, maintenance and, selection of herbicides
and application equipment.

To enable the student to identify other important,
or potentially important, weeds appearing in WA and
advise on control techniques.

To further expand knowledge of the mode of action,
physical and chemical characteristics selectivity
and practice use of the main herbicides used in WA.

To provide a course on methods of research in weed
control and the development of new weed control
techniques.
