To provide the learner with the essential theorectical and practical knowledge

Range of Variables
This modules is taught in a classroom and laboratory using Integrated
Theory/Practical teaching method. Equipment in the electrical laboratory will
be used in the practical work and demonstrations.

The assessment of this module is holistic in nature and requires assessing on
the integration of skills and knowledge. To be successful in this Section of
the module, the student must show evidence of achievement of the module
purpose. This approach enables the assessment to be carried out by different
means to achieve an holistic outcome.
The assessment scheme is generally disigned to ensure that critical knowledge
and skills are assessed more than once and in a variety of ways throughout the
modul’e assessment events. This provides a valid assessment of the student’s
abilities and avoids misrepresentation of failures caused by single cases of
poor performance.
Assessment methods includes:
- Written assignment
- Short answer and/or essay type questions in a written test
- written test
- Practical test
