Description
To provide the learner with a knowledge of the major internal structures of the
body.

To enable the student masseur to apply this knowledge by palpation,
visualisation and observation in practical demonstrations.

Continuous assessment - practical and oral on:

-Thorax and abdomen
-Arms
-Feet and legs
-Head and neck

Final practical examination in the presence of two
external examiners

The examiners will be provided with 10 cards - on each will be the names of one
organ, one blood vessel, one nerve, one bony prominence, one lymph gland, and
one joint.

One card per candidate will be drawn at random and will be used as a framework
for the final practical examination.

Final written examination (1 hour) - short answer questions

A pass in all assessments is required.
