Description
To introduce students to the legal
system in WA and in particular, areas
of the law which relate to Aboriginal
people in Australian society.

To provide an understanding of the
basic concepts and principles of law
and justice.

To reinforce an improvement in general
literacy skills.

NOTE:
It is essential that the students be given every opportunity to negotiate
topics in this unit that are most relevant to their needs/expectations/
experiences as Aborigines relating to the Australian legal system.
