Description
To consolidate the development of psychomotor skills in preparation for safe practice in a range of clinical and community-based environments

To consolidate the learner's professional socialisation into the health care industry

To evaluate that the learner meets the following Enrolled Nursing competencies required for recommendation for registration to Practice:
- Demonstrates a satisfactory knowledge base
for safe practice
- Demonstrates effective communication and
interpersonal skills
- Contributes to nursing assessment of
individuals and groups
- Assists in the evaluation of progress
towards expected outcomes
- Implements those aspects of the nursing
care plan delegated by the registered nurse
- Functions in accordance with legislation
and common law affecting nursing practice
- Assists in meeting the need for support,
security and self esteem of individuals and
groups
- Protects the rights of individuals and groups
Range of Variables
This module will be delivered in the classroom sufficiently flexible to accommodate group work, in a simulated clinical environment and a variety of clinical placements suitable for the student with advancing knowledge and skills
