To enable learners to carry out analysis and design of flexural reinforced
concrete members, including beams and one-way slabs.

Range of Variables
This module contains learning outcomes that require theory instruction under
standard classroom conditions. The theory component will be assessed at the
end of the instructional period when learners are required to sit for a closed
book theory test.
The design project covers all learning outcomes and involves the design of a
typical floor in a multi-storey reinforced concrete structure incorporating
elements covered in this module.
Suggested time allocation for each learning outcome including testing:
