Description
To enable learners to prepare drawings required in the construction of rural
roads in accordance with the practices outlined in AS1100.401 and the Ausroads
publication Policy for the Geometrical Design of Rural Roads, using manual
drafting and/or computer aided drafting techniques.
Range of Variables
This module contains learning outcomes that require theory instruction under
standard drawing room conditions and practical instruction. The theory
component will be assessed at the end of the instructional period when learners
are required to sit for a closed book theory test.

The practical component will be assessed by appropriate drawing assignments.
It is necessary to pass individually the practical component and the theory
component to pass the module.

For consolidation, the material in this module should be linked with and
complemented by relevant on-the-job skill practice or other equivalent
experience.
