Description
Through a series of lecture/demonstrations provide
the secondary student with a basic knowledge and
awareness of the electrical trade.

Introduce the student to a variety of concepts used
in the electrical trade, and provide an opportunity
for the student to learn basic hand skills and apply
the acquired skills to a practical situation.

NOTE: Where any electrical project is to be used by a student, voltages
in excess of Extra Low Voltage, defined by Australian Standard AS3000, shall
not be used or shall not appear in any part of the circuit by either direct or
indirect means.

Practical skill standards will not be at the same
level as for apprentices.

A folio is to be compiled for assessment on a
continuous basis and will contain:

- Summaries of theory lessons in the form of assignments.
- Reports completed on all practical exercises.

Assessment of practical skills experience is to be
continuous throughout.
