Description
To enable learners to identify organic farming methodologies and justify their
own position. Issues such as overall farm management, soil factors, plant
management, livestock production, pest and disease control, farm selection and
marketing are discussed in the context of organic farming industry requirements.
Range of Variables
This module will best be presented as a concise delivery of the general
concepts supported by specific information that is relevant to the learner’s
choice of enterprise. Slides, audio-visual presentations, field visits, group
discussions and debates and observations in laboratory-type facilities will
complement the delivery.
