Pattern Skills 1 is an introductory unit in the
Certificate in Commercial Dressmaking and as such is
designed to enable students to:

- select patterns suitable for the wearer
- select patterns suitable for fabric
- become confident in the use of commercial patterns
- adapt commercial patterns to suit the wearer and the
fabric.
