Description
To provide the basic techniques of
"Electrical Estimating", for persons
who may be engaged, at sometime, in the
estimation of electrical contracts.

Examination 30%
A pass must be obtained in
BOTH.
Practical
Maximum of 70 marks for the satisfactory completion of prescribed practical
estimates during semester, of which a student must achieve a minimum of 35.
Theory
A one-hour theory paper with 30 marks of which a student must achieve a minimum
of 15 marks.
Assessment mark will be average of
Practical and Theory marks.
The student will, at completion of this
course, be able to prepare a tender for
an electrical project, in accordance
with standard practices.
The tender will be in acceptable form,
and the incorporated cost estimate will
have an acceptable degree of accuracy.
