Description
To provide the participant with knowledge and understanding of the
administrative law principles which may be used by them or by other members of
the public who may be affected by actions and decisions made by local
government, state/territory and commonwealth public service
administrators. The emphasis is providing this knowledge to those who as
a result of their employment or position in an organisation will need to
examine the decision of administrators and, where necessary, be aware of the
steps which must be undertaken to seek redress or a
remedy. The learner will have a working knowledge of relevant local government,
state/territory and commonwealth administrative law both common law
and legislation and will demonstrate this knowledge by indicating
possible administrative law remedies for a variety of problems which may
confront members of the public.
