The purpose of this module is to investigate formal relationships in ceramics surfaces, ceramic forms and decorative elements; to research the visual and tactile qualities and characteristics of ceramic materials; to research surface articulation in nature and artificial sources; to analyse and evaluate surface design criteria; to experiment and apply personal design strategies to ceramic surfaces; and to observe health and safety guidelines.
