This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop an understanding of Aboriginal artefacts and their application to traditional and modern-day Aboriginal experiences.

The local cultural knowledge necessary to achieve competency in this unit may only be accessible to Aboriginal people.

Individuals could be preparing for work or further learning in a range of vocational areas. This learning and work would include appropriate guidance, support and supervision by a recognised member of the local Aboriginal community.
