Description
To give the students an introduction to the
industry, and introduce them to the types of vehicle
bodies, that the student is likely to be called upon
to construct.
To teach the students the hand skills, and the use
of handtools, including the operation, and handling,
of both metalworking and woodworking machinery.
To give the student an awareness of the materials
used in the industry, and their application.
To provide a basic knowledge in the elementary
electrical wiring of vehicles.

Certificate of Trade Studies Subject Awarded
Marks
The final theory certificate % mark shall be calculated, using the following
formulae:
Examination x 0.9 + Notebook x 0.1 = 100%
To be eligible for the Certificate of Trade Studies,
an apprentice must reach a pass standard in each
stage.
A Privileged Re-examination may be granted, on the recommendation of the Board
of Review, when the practical assessment is satisfactory.
