To provide Competency Based Training in the introduction and development of
quality management programs.
It is designed to provide training for those who wish to initiate and apply
quality management techniques in the pursuit of efficiency and productivity in

Learning outcomes are to be achieved through structured interactive and
participative learning activities. This module should be taught off the job.
A range of teaching/learning methods are used including lectures, group
discussion, problem centred group simulations, role play, practical exercises
and audio visual presentation. The module is to be supported by the case
studies and practical applications of principal concepts and techniques
outlined. The teacher should ensure that the learning is student centred using
the skills and experience of the learners and focusing on issues relevant to
the workplace.
