Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop basic acting skills associated with performing in a single- or multi-camera production environment.
It requires the ability to demonstrate a structured approach to performing a role as an actor, whilst applying and adapting performance skills. Using a structured approach whilst performing a role on screen.
Actors will develop a basic level of expertise in performing to camera through practice of technical skills and rehearsals.
Actors are expected to include acting, dance and voice into the performance, incorporating Indigenous culture and concepts to increase employability outcomes.
The unit applies to film and television actors in the performing arts industry.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
