To introduce learners to materials and processes
involved in traditional sculptural forms.

Range of Variables
Intended teaching strategy to include:
.Flexible mode of delivery to allow for camps,
off-campus work and intensive project work.
.Acknowledgement of different levels of traditional
knowledge available depending on position, gender,
location and age of tutor and students.
.Delivery of modules by an Aboriginal artist or
artists with specific expertise in art with traditional
Aboriginal themes, particularly in three dimensional work:
carving, burning, weaving, etc. Objects and artefacts
produced will depend on the skills of tutors/mentors.
.Exposure to work by Aboriginal artists practicing
traditional arts (woodcarving, basket making, etc).
