To provide the learners with the opportunity to extend their design skills
(achieved in Design 2A) to solve a broader range of complex design problems.

Range of Variables
To provide studio-based core subjects which facilitates the integration of all
concurrent subjects, and extend the learners’ cognitive design skills.

Evidence Guide
Learners will be required to demonstrate achievement of the learning outcome by
progressive assessment of the project(s).
Generally, the assessment method will be the same as for Design 1A/B which are
pre-requisites for the design modules at this level.

adjacent to an up-to-date resource centre. The studio shall conform to all
relevant and appropriate Australian Standards on Occupational Health and Safety
requirements for learning facilities.
