Description
On completion of this subject, the
student will have:

- Knowledge of the theoretical aspects of the dye penetrant
and magnetic particle methods of non-destructive testing.

- An ability to undertake, in a confident and competent
manner, dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing with the normal variety of
test equipment and products.

- An awareness of the limitations and advantages of these
methods and their suitability in specific test situations.

- Knowledge of the safety measures relevant to dye penetrant
and magnetic particle testing.
