Science) 14 Welding Module W5
(Oxy-Welding) 8
Stage 1B - Assessment/Tutorials 8
Examinations
Fabrication (including Modules F6, F7) Thirty minutes objective examination
Drawing (including Modules D3, D4)
One-hour drawing examination (50%) and drawing folio
(50%)
Welding (including Modules W3, W4, W5) One-hour objective examination
Practical Assessment
Average percentage by continuous assessment of all
workshop components.
Certificate of Trade Studies (CTS)
To be eligible for the CTS, an apprentice must
obtain a pass standard in the CTS percentage for
each stage.
The following formula is used to determine the CTS
percent:
CTS % = 0.25 (Fabrication Theory) + 0.45 (Drawing) + 0.3 (Welding Theory)
