Description
This competency standard unit covers the application of computational processes to solving engineering problems. It encompasses working safely, applying problem solving techniques, using a range of mathematical processes, providing solutions to electrical/electronics engineering problems and justifying such solutions.

Typical engineering problems are those encountered in meeting requirements in a design brief, meeting performance requirements and compliance standards, revising a systems operating parameters and dealing with system malfunctions.
