Description
To provide learners with:
Module 4/4: Roof and Structural Down Pipes (Rainwater Downpipes)
- An ability to identify and select materials suitable for fabricating
rainwater downpipes for residential buildings.
- An ability to correctly fabricate rainwater downpipes for use on
residential roofs.
- A detailed knowledge of regulations, standards and associated codes of
practice applicable to rainwater downpipes (including AS2180: Metal Rainwater
Goods Selection and Installation).
- A detailed knowledge of the fabrication and installation requirements
for rainwater downpipes on residential buildings and a practical understanding
of gutter installation methods and techniques.
- A comprehensive revision of the requirements for safe work on roofs.
- A demonstrated ability
