Description
To introduce learners to the techniques for on-site measuring and drawing up
simple designs.

Range of Variables
Delivery to take place in a classroom/workshop or a suitable workplace and on
excursions to provide:
- ready access to a suitable range of the fittings in sufficient
quantity for the learners to observe the equipment and practice the skills
required
- access to a room suitably set up with drawing boards and drawing
equipment.
Learners to provide their own pencils, pens, scale rules, set squares and
compass as directed.
To allow credible competency-based training and assessment the class size MUST
NOT exceed fifteen students.

learner achievement.
The learner is required to demonstrate competency in each of the learning
outcomes in line with the assessment method shown.
Assessment will be based on an appropriate selection of the following methods:

- longer written and/or oral tests and/or
- practical demonstration of the skills required in the relevant
assessment in the final module.
